The CC RAS looks into open research questions of the robotics domain from areas such as distributed artificial intelligence, computer vision, and cognitive science.

Robots, autonomous vehicles, drones and modern house appliances have an influence on people’s imaginary world. They are supposed to support people in hard, dangerous, or monotonous activities. CC RAS is researching questions that enable to further improve the application of single or multiple autonomous systems in practice. While striving for increased autonomy, we are also concerned about adjustable control. Currently, the focus lies in particular on cognition (including computer vision), decision-making, planning, interaction, and coordination. Application domains are among others drones, service-robotics, Industry 4.0, and RoboCup Soccer.
