For many users of smartphones, privacy plays an important role. However, it is difficult for users to judge how an app actually handles data. The PANDERAM project aims to make the use of personal data visible and assessable.

The tasks of the DAI-Lab of the Technische Universität Berlin are to generate suggestions for alternative apps, depending on the preferences of users, if a selected app has privacy problems. For this purpose, the app in question is compared with other known apps, and alternatives are sought that contain desired functions but do not involve any undesired data use.
