Delivery of medical samples with drones

Drones4Life aims to optimize the delivery of medical specimen to laboratories. The optimisation will be done by lifting the delivery channel from the road into the air and by utilizing unmanned aerial vehicle technology. An integrated drone solution will be developed and demonstrated.

The outcome is a business model for a tailored (cooling, secure compartment, battery energy, etc.) drone solution for institutions such as logistics companies or analysis facilities, which are interested in a quick and safe delivery of medical specimen. Drones will autonomously navigate to target locations and return to their host. Such a solution will significantly affect economic factors since the entire specimen-delivery business will be revolutionized. Patients will profit from saving time in the recovery process.
