Analysis of AIMD-based DSM for EV wireless charging on the move
Dynamic wireless charging of Electric Vehicles (EVs), can lead to an increase of EV range while reducing battery size and associated costs. Moreover, charging that uses energy from renewables could lead to decisive CO2 emissions' reduction. Such large scale development requires intelligent power management control ensuring the demand-supply balance and grid stability. Deployment of such ICT solutions for dynamic wireless charging, entails low latency communications and fast control algorithms in order to cope with the dynamics of wireless on the move charging. This article will focus on Demand Side Management (DSM) ICT software architecture and evaluation of the overall methodology under a simulated dynamic wireless charging environment at regular highway speeds.
