Retrospection: Connected Living ConnFerence

The event from 4th to 5th September was a success. There were interesting discussions and talks, concerning the subject of smart living in the future.

Well-known representatives from industry, research and politics reported and discussed at the Connected Living ConnFerence about smart living in the future. Also the methods of aiming the goal of smart living as well as the problems and barriers, connected to the visions of the smart future, were debated.
The opening of the event was conducted by the management board members of Connected Living e.V. – Sven Kielgas (Serviceplan Gruppe), Dr. Oliver Weinmann (CEO of Vattenfall Europe Innovation GmbH), Prof. Dr. Sahin Albayrak (head of the DAI-Labor), and Cafer Tosun (head of SAP Innovation Center Potsdam) as well as Dr. Heinrich Arnold (head of T-Labs).

Additional, Dr. Andreas Goerdeler of the “Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie”, Thomas Ilka of the “Bundesministerium für Gesundheit” and Prof. Dr. Wolf-Dieter Lukas of the “Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung”, were willing to express themselves to the issue of the Connected Living ConnFerence.
Furthermore, lots of talks and sessions to the issues of digitalization, “Connected Health”, energy or “Future Connected Home/CL-ECO-System”, were held.
Exhibits which visualized the presented technologies from the talks were shown in the NetWorkLab. For example “AutoPnP” – a vacuum cleaner robot, which cleans the floor by computer-controlled guidance – was presented. The “Connected Technologies”, developed by the DAI-Labor as well, which are components and tools that are helpful for the comfortable home networking, were exhibited, too. Furthermore, a remote control for home and house – called “Homee” and developed by “Codeatelier” – was presented.

The DAI-Labor thanks Connected Living e.V. for the great collaboration and looks forward to the next Connected Living ConnFerence.
