The Turkish scientific and technological research council of turkey (TÜBITAK) invited around hundred scientists from different countries to the third congress „Turkish scientists abroad“. The congress was held in Istanbul on the 24th/25th of December 2015.

The TÜBITAK Vice President Dr. Orkun Hasekioğlu held the opening speech. Also the Turkish Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Fikri Isik held a speech and stressed the need of knowledge transfer and exchange with Turkish scientists abroad. He explained that the effort of Turkey is to further push the technological developments in the field of artificial intelligence, in robotics, biotechnology and nanotechnology. The Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu arranged a meeting with some scientists in the afternoon. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Sahin Albayrak from the DAI-Laboratory of the TU Berlin belonged to the selected guests of this event.
