Famous visitor at DAI Labor – minister of health Dr. Rösler

On the 23rd of September, Dr. Philip Rösler came to the TU high rise to see the newest research projects in the area of home automation. The Innovation Center Connected Living, headed by Prof. Albayrak, invited the minister to learn about virtual assistants for health. Goal is to provide these “apps for the home” to the general public.

Connected Living, a conglomerate of 30 companies and institutes, is providing a “home of the future”. There, the minister could try out different applications, such as the virtual cook that not only manages appliances in the kitchen but also connect with the health assistant in order to suggest recipes and give step-by-step instructions for preparing them. The health assistant provides different applications – from a virtual bicycle race to monitoring vital signs within the apartment.
