DAI-Labor @ CeBIT 2011

DAI-Labor and German-Turkish Advanced ICT Research Center (GT-ARC)
The DAI-Labor of the Berlin Institute of Technology was available to the public at the world’s biggest and most international digital industry event CeBIT from 1st to 5th March in Hannover. You could find our numerous displayed projects and current research topics in Hall 9, booth A 75.

Interdisciplinary solutions in the areas of information provision, security, health and energy were introduced. These included form example alternative authentication procedures for mobile devices, intelligent charging system for electric vehicles and a knowledge management solution for businesses.
Another highlight of this year was the German-Turkish Advanced ICT Research Center (GT-ARC). The newly initiated cooperation aims to promote and support scientific and technical cooperation between Germany and Turkey.

Connected Living
We also presented the possibilities of an intelligent home network at the booth of Connected Living in Hall 19, booth C20.
Visitors experienced the possibilities of an intelligent home network in three different living situations and saw how they can benefit from home networking and home automation.
DAI-Labor presented together with the partners results of projects on various topics, e.g.; how mobile devices and media harmonize with each other and help users to save energy.
In the area for seniors, DAI-Labor showed why some routine visits to doctors might become redundant.
