Award – forum: “Young excellent researchers: Internet of Things“

Elif Eryilmaz, scientist at the DAI-Laboratory received at the forum “Young excellent researchers: Internet of Things“ the award amounting to 2.000 Euro for her dissertation „Sematic Sensor Fusion for the Automaitization of Sensor Selection over Internet of Things“. It is the first time that a female researcher got to the closer selection. Each year the Industrial Research Foundation in cooperation with the Humboldt Innovation look for young researchers, who offer original and practical research results and solutions.

At the event six researchers presented in 20 minutes their current research work. Each 10 minute presentation was followed by a discussion with the jury. A jury of experts decided which of the research works will be most suitable for companies in practice. Research funds amounting 3x 10.000 Euro and 3x 2.000 Euro has been given to the scientists. Winner of this year was Mathias Wählisch (FU Berlin) with the project: “RIOT: The Friendly Operating System for the Internet of Things”. At the third place has been Dr. Andreas Kliem also from the TU Berlin with the subject “Resource Management for Internet of Things”.
